ADOPT A PRECINCT
One of the primary objectives of the Madison County Republican Party is to elect Republicans to office. The most effective way of doing that is through a local, grassroots organization. We accomplish this by getting our message out person to person, door to door, one neighbor to another. That is why we have launched the “Adopt a Precinct” Program.
The cornerstone of this important program is the “Precinct Captain”.The three basic objectives of the Precinct Captain are to:
- Ensure all Republicans go to the polls and vote.
- Encourage and assist anyone in their precinct who wants to register to vote Republican
- Represent the entire Republican party- not just one candidate or one ideology
The primary duties of the Precinct Captain are:
- Call on new residents to the precinct. Provide information about voter registration.
- Contact Republican households before elections and encourage them to vote on Election Day.
- Ask Republicans if they need absentee ballots or help getting to the polls.
- Distribute lists of Republican candidates to each Republican household.
- Be the eyes and ears of the Republican Party on a grassroots level. Let us know about the concerns people in your precinct have.
